Windows95/98-Plus! Customization



Mentioned from the previous post, besides the basic customizations that W95/W98 offers, there is also the option to use themes that alter EVERYTHING, such as:


  • Sounds
  • Cursor
  • Window Manager
  • Color Pallete
  • Backgrounds
  • Icons

Windows95!Plus acts like a direct upgrade over the base version, the initial cost of this was at US$49.99 , while the normal version of 95 was around US$19.99 back then.

All of the features and upgrades of W95Plus! was also directly added to the Windows98 version, without needing to have a license for the Plus! version.


It also included a bunch of changes and upgrades compared to it's base version, such as including some software with the installation itself, adding one of the most iconic games ever that was part of windows [Space Cadet 3D], improvements and extra additions to the multimedia softwares, and the reason of this post: The wide variety of full themes.

Below, you can find a FULL LIST of all the Plus! themes, that will allow you to download the resources from the theme [Files were reviewed by myself, and they were extracted from Internet Archive]


I highly recommend using the filter system to search specific keywords! It will facilitate the search for specific themes.


Please beware that the list is VERY LONG , since there is A LOT of themes to cover.
Installing these themes on any newer version of Windows is Not Possible., you should be able to use the resources and other tools to try to replicate these looks. [personally recommend Linux distributions to achieve]
